The coloured coin features illustrations of a fluffy young kangaroo, kookaburra and koala. Included in the design are representations of eucalypt leaves and spiky seed pods, as well as the inscription "CONGRATULATIONS", the year-date, along with The Perth Mint's 'P' Mintmark.

The coin bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, the monetary denomination and the 2024 year-date on the obverse.
