Following on from the success of the Bluey corporate and NBL coin release in 2024, PD and B2B met with licensors, BBCS, to discuss opportunities for future coin programs.

BBCS were interested in the production of more coins featuring the beloved Australian TV program, particularly a single NBL program in 2025 and further Corporate and NBL programs for 2026, leading up to the release of a Bluey movie in 2027.

The 2024 Bluey coin programs generated a lot of interest and revenue for the Mint. It increased awareness for the organisation and RAM products, and attached many new customers. Demand for both corporate and NBL programs surpassed supply with many customers missing out on these collectible coins.

There is great potential for additional Bluey related coins as the intellectual property continues to be etremely strong in Australia and globally.
The show was reposted to be the most popular program broadcasted on demand on ABC Kids and the no. 1 most watched shows in the US in 2024 racking up 34 billion minutes watched via streaming channel Disney+. 
It has also received multiple accolades including : Logie Award winner for best children's program in 2024, and Peabody Award - Children and Youth winner in 2023.

Mirroring the Bluey Christmas program, the product range with include a $1 coloured uncirculated coin and $1 coloured silver proof coin.

Both coins will be housed in custom packaging, leveraging the highly recognisable Bluey assets that will resonate with the primary target audience, being gift buyers.
