The Perth Mint is delighted to present the Sundowner Red Kangaroo 2026 1oz Silver Coloured Coin.

As the sun dips below Australia's vast coastline, painting the sky in warm hues of orange and crimson, the red kangaroo emerges into the cool of the evening - a moment often called 'sundowner' time.

In the fading light, these iconic animals move across the arid inland plains, not far from where the land eventually meets the endless blue of the coast.

This tranquil scene captures the essence of Australia's unique blend of rugged outback and sweeping shores, where wildlife like the red kangaroo thrives against a backdrop of pone of the world's most striking coastal landscapes.

The coin's coloured reverse portrays a kangaroo bounding along the Australian coastline with the vivid hues of sunset reflecting on the ocean in the background.

The design includes The Perth Mint's 'P' Mintmark, the inscription "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO", along with the coin's weight, purity and 2026 year-date featured on a pattern of undulating lines.

Struck to the Royal Australian Mint's coloured uncirculated standard.

Coin's obverse features the effigy of King Charles III by designer Daniel Thorne.
