Queen Elizabeth II was born in 21 April 1926 and ascended to the throne in 1952 at the age of 25, following the death of her father, King George VI.
She married Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, in 1947, and together they had four children: Charles, Anne, Andrew and Edward.
Her reign spanned 70 years, making her the longest-serving monarch in British history.
Throughout her life, she was a symbol of resilience and dedication, guiding the monarchy through decades of profound social and political change.
As Head of the Commonwealth, she fostered unity across diverse nations and remained a steadfast figure on the global stage.
Queen Elizabeth II passed away on 8 September 2022, and was succeeded by eldest son, King Charles III.
In 2026, the wolrd commemorates what would have been her 100th birthday - celebrating a life of service, dignity and devotion to her country and the Commonwealth.
The coin's reverse includes five effigies of Queen Elizabeth II, each featured on coins produced by The Perth Mint, representing distinct periods of her historis reign.
At the centre is the most recent effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark (2019), elegantly framed in an ornate design. Surrounding it are hour earlier effigies : Ian Rank-Broadley (1998) at the top left, Raphael Maklouf (1985) at the bottom left, Arnold Machin (1966) at the bottom right, and Mark Gillick (1953) at the top right.
Together, these portraits reflect the evolving image of the monarch across seven decades of her reign.
The background features Australia's national floral emblem, the golden wattle, symbolising the nation's connection to the Commonwealth. Arranged clockwise from the top, are the Sovereigns Imperial State Crown, Orb, Tudor Rose, and Sceptre - each symbolising key elements of royal tradition and authority.
Surrounding the design is the inscription "H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II 100th ANNIVERSARY", accompanied by stylised dots, the 2026 year-date, and The Perth Mint's 'P' Mintmark.
The uncirculated aluminum bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin's reverse and obverse designs.
On the obverse, the coin bears the Dan Thomas effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and monetary domination.
Fixed to the envelope is an official $1.70 Australia Post stamps which is post marked First Day of Issue and the envelope includes Australia Post's Seal of Authenticity.
