The Perth Mint has just released this Stamp and Coin Cover featuring Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll and Badtz-Maru.

Hello Kitty is a globally recognised character created by the Japanese company Sanrio in 1974, designed by illustrator Yuko Shimizu.

Over the years, Sanrio has expanded Hello Kitty's universe by introducing many other adorable 'kawaii', characters, continuing to capture the hearts of fans worldwide.

Among these favourites are Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, and Badtz-Maru, each with their own distinct personality and charm.
Hello Kitty is a timeless symbol of kindness, simplicity, and friendship, admired across generations.
Cinnamoroll, a fluffy white puppy with long ears that let him fly, is gentle, shy and fond of sweet treats, giving him a soft and dreamy appeal.
In contract, Badtz-Maru is a cheeky black penguin with a mischievious streak and rebellious attitude, adding a playful and edgy energy.
Together, they showcase a range of personalities that fans of all ages can relate to and enjoy.

The coloured reverse of the coin portrays Hello Kitty wearing pink overalls and the iconic red bow on her head, with Badtz-Maru and Cinnamoroll.

The design is set against a background of stars and dots and includes the inscriptions 'HELLO KITTY AND FRIENDS' and © 2026 SANRIO.

Issued as Australian legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin's reverse and obverse designs.

On the obverse, the coin bears the Jody Clarke effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and monetary domination.
