This adorable coin celebrates the Year of the Snake and is the perfect gift for any baby born in 2024.

According to the lunar calendar, the Year of the Snake occurs between 29 January 2025 and 16 February 2026. Babies born during this time are said to be blessed with the snake's intelligence, independence, charm and leadership qualities.

Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 7,150 of the Baby Snake 2024 1/2oz Silver Proof Coins in this packaging out of a maximum mintage of 7,500.

The coin's reverse features a colour representation of a happy young snake curled around a log with foilage and toadstools. Included in the design is the Chinese character for 'Snake', the inscription 'YEAR OF THE SNAKE', and The Perth Mint's 'P' Mintmark.

The coin's reverse features the Jody Clark effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, as well as the weight, fineness, monetary denomination and 2025 year-date.

Each coin is housed in a classic display case within an illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
