2025 $1 ANZAC Day Uncirculated Coin in Card.
Anzac Day falls on the 25th April each year, the day Australian and New Zealand troops landed on the Gallipoli peninsula in 1915. Since 1916, it has been dedicated to commemorative activities honouring the courage and sacrifice of the first ANZACs during World War I and all succeeding Defence Force personnel who have served in times of war and other operations.
Issued as Australian legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with circular window revealing the coin's reverse and obverse designs.
This coin has an unlimited mintage.
The coin portrays an Australian soldier standing in a contemplative pose, and a motif representing a torch with an eternal flame. The images are encircled by a representation of rosemary, a symbol of remembrance that grows wild at Gallipoli in Turkey, as well as the inscriptions, "25 APRIL and LEST WE FORGET" and the 2025 Year-date Perth Mint's 'P' Mintmark.
The coin's obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty Kind Charles III and the monetary denomination.
Each coin is presented in a specially designed display card, which features a fold-out stand for upright display.
