In 2025, Hawthorn Football Club celebrates 100 years since joining the VFL, now the AFL.
Founded in 1902, the club began in the Metropolitan Junior Football Association before entering the VFL in 1925.
Early struggles gave way to success with a breakthrough premiership in 1961 under coach John Kennedy.
The 1970's and '80s brought seven flags, and a remarkable era followed in the 2000s under Alastair Clarkson, including a rare three-peat (2013-15).
Marking a century at the elite level, Hawthorn proudly reflects on a legacy of resilience, growth and excellence in Australian football.
The coin's reverse features the AFL Hawthorn logo.
Each coin's obverse features the effigy of King Charles III by designer Daniel Thorne.
