2024 50c Celebrating 30 Years of Postal and numismatic Covers Coin & Stamp Cover PNC.
This cover marks 30 years since Australia Post released the first postal nd numismatic cover (PNC) in 1994.
The first PNC issued on 14 April 1994 commemorated the International Year of the Family and included a coin from the Royal Australian Mint.
In 2004 we marked the 150th anniversary of the Eureka Stockade with the first PNC with a coin from The Perth Mint.
This 30th anniversary limited-edition PNC houses a commemorative coin produced in 2024 by the Royal Australian Mint for the National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC).
NAIDOC Week 2024 (7-14 July) held special significance as it commemorated the 50th Anniversary of a fully indigenous-led NAIDOC Committee.
Issued as Australia Legal Tender under the Currency Act.
The reverse of the coin depicts the 50th Anniversary of NAIDOC logo.
The uncirculated cupro-nickel coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin's reverse and obverse designs.
The coin's obverse features the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the monetary denomination.
Affixed to the envelope is an official Australia Postage Paid Print.
The stamp is postmarked on the First Day of Issue and includes the Australia Post's Seal of Authenticity. 1st October 2024, Melbourne VIC 3000
