2022 $1 Year of the Tiger Quadrant 1oz Silver Proof Coloured Four-Coin Set.

This remarkable 2022 Year of the Tiger set comprises four fan-shaped 1oz silver proof coins which align in the shape of an ancient Chinese ‘ban liang’ coin to portray a unified coloured image celebrating the awesome big cat.

The ancient lunar zodiac comprises 12 animal signs, each said to bestow desirable characteristics on those born under its influence. According to tradition, tiger people born in 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010 and 2022 will likely be blessed with courage, charm and confidence.

Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver, each coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,500 of the Year of the Tiger Quadrant 2022 1oz Silver Proof Coloured Four-Coin Sets.

The four legal tender pieces in the set each show one quadrant of a coloured composition portraying tigers in a tropical rainforest. The top coin depicts a tiger balanced on the limb of a dead tree. The right-hand coin depicts a roaring tiger prowling on a riverbank. The bottom coin depicts a tiger lying majestically on rocks. The left-hand coin depicts a tiger with a waterfall in the background. Additionally, the reverse of each coin incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The obverse of each coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as well as the weight, fineness and monetary denomination.

Each coin is housed in a classic display case with a clear lid decorated with a silver geometric pattern.

The case is packaged in a beautifully illustrated shipper  and is accompanied by  Numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
