2024 $1 Australian Emu 1oz Silver Coloured Coin

The Perth Mint is pleased to release this beautiful 1oz silver coin featuring the latest Australian emu design in colour.

Found only in Australia, the emu is the world's second largest bird. With wings that are too small for it to fly, the six-foot creature is equipped with long and powerful legs, enabling it to sprint at speeds of nearly 50km per hour across the outback plains.Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,500 of the Australian Emu 2024 1oz Silver Coloured Coin.

The coin's coloured reverse portrays an adult emu and three chicks in an arid outback setting. Included in the design is the inscription 'AUSTRALIAN EMU' and a 'P125' mintmark appear within the design.

The coin's obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III , and the monetary denomination.

The Australian Emu 2024 1oz Silver Coloured Coin is presented in a classic display case with a clear acrylic lid within a themed shipper and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
