Over 400 Legacy Clubs across Australia and one Club in London work to ensure families receive the support they deserve.Legacy grew out of the ashes of World War One. In the trenches of the Western Front during World War I, a soldier said to his dying mate "I'll look after the missus and kids". This became known as The Promise - and it is still kept today.Legacy has transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of families over the last 100 years, providing caring and compassionate support for the families of veterans, all done through the dedication and passion of Legacy volunteers - known as Legatees.The coin's reverse features the Legacy torch logo, with open hands symbolising the compassionate support and care provided by Legacy to families of veteran's over the past 100 years.Affixed to the envelope is an official Australia Post $1.20 stamp.
