2023 20c 35th Anniversary of Edward the Emu - Coin & Stamp Cover PNCMuch-loved Australian children's book, Edward the Emu by Sheena Knowles and Rob Clement, is highlighted in the third release in the Royal Australian Mint's and Children's Book Council of Australia's partnership, promoting reading to young audiences. The 2023 uncirculated coin featuring Edward, will be treasured by children and adults as they discover the story for the first time or reminisce about Edward's adventures.Each year around Australia, children, schools and families celebrate the joy of reading one week more than any other - Book Week. A long-standing tradition of nearly 80 years, Book Week sees children dress as a character from their favourite book, enjoy story time, and fall further in love with reading.For a third year, the Royal Australian Mint has partnered with the Children's Book Council of Australia to produce a coin featuring an adored Australian children's book.
