2023 $1 FIFA Women's World Cup Coloured Coin & Stamp Cover PNC

The FIFA Women's World Cup Australian & New Zealand 2023 will take place from 20 July to 20 August 2023.It is the first to be held in the southern hemisphere and the first to be hosted by two countries.

A record 32 nations will compete for the coveted trophy at venues across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand featured on the stamp is Tazuni, the Official Mascot of the FIFA Women's World Cup.

Tazuni is an energetic, football-loving penguin based on the species endemic to the region, Eudyptula minor, or Little Penguin.Capturing the spirit of an event that will go Beyond Greatness, Tazuni's name is a fusion of her home in the Tasman Sea and 'unity', a key value of the event.

The colourful branding elements of the stamp and cover are based on works by Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand artists.

The coin's reverse inscription FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP AU-NZ-23.

The coin's obverse features the effigy Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse sculpted by Jody Clark.

Issued as Australian legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with circular window revealing the coin's reverse and obverse designs.

Affixed to the envelope is an official Australia Post $1.20 stamp. 

The envelope is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post's Seal of Authenticity.
