2023 $1 Centenary of Legacy Al/Br Uncirculated Coin in Card

Legacy is an iconic Australian charity dedicated to supporting the families of veteran's who have given their life or health in operational service.

Legacy supports the partners and children of veterans through assistance aimed at protecting individuals and families' basic need; advocating for their entitlements, rights and benefits; assisting families through bereavement; and helping people thrive despite grief, hardship and loss.

For 100 years, Legacy has been standing proudly as the only veteran service organisation in Australia dedicated solely to the care and support of our veteran's families. Over 400 Legacy Clubs across Australia and one Club in London work to ensure families receive the support they deserve.Legacy grew out of the ashes of World War One. In the trenches of the Western Front during World War I, a soldier said to his dying mate "I'll look after the missus and kids".

This became known as The Promise - and it is still kept today

.Legacy has transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of families over the last 100 years, providing caring and compassionate support for the families of veterans, all done through the dedication and passion of Legacy volunteers - known as Legatees.

The coin's reverse features the Legacy torch logo, with open hands symbolising the compassionate support and care provided by Legacy to families of veteran's over the past 100 years.

Limited to a mintage of just 30,000 coins.

Each coin's obverse features the effigy Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse sculpted by Jody Clark.
