2023 $1 Australian Koala 1oz Silver Bullion Coin in Capsule

The Perth Mint has released this 1oz silver bullion coin featuring the 2023 Australian Koala design.

Depicting one of Australia's most beloved animals, the Australian koala silver coin pays tribute to our rich wildlife.

The Australian Koala 2023 1oz Silver Bullion Coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 99.9% pure silver, and is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The reverse of each coin portrays a koala on a gum tree branch with a joey clinging to its back.

The inscription AUSTRALIA KOALA, The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' Mintmark, the 2023 year-date, and the weight and purity are also includes within the design.

The obverse of each coin bears The Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring  the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of her reign, and the monetary denomination.

Each coin's reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the coin's design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass.
