Anzac Day falls on the 25th April each year, the day Australian and New Zealand troops landed on the Gallipoli peninsula in 1915. Since 1916, it has been dedicated to commemorative activities honouring the courage and sacrifice of the first ANZACs during World War I and all succeeding Defence Force personnel who have served in times of war and other operations
.Issued as Australian legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with circular window revealing the coin's reverse and obverse designs.
This coin has an unlimited mintage.
The reverse of the coin features a stylised torch and an external flame, a symbol of gratitude and remembrance. It is encircled by images of poppies, the commemorative flower of remembrance.
Also included in the design is the inscription "25 APRIL and LEST WE FORGET" and the Perth Mint's 'P' Mintmark.
The coin's obverse features the Queen Elizabeth II memorial obverse featuring the Jody Clark effigy, the monetary denomination, along with the dates of her reign.Each coin is presented in a specially designed display card, which features a fold-out stand for upright display.
