Collect the G $1 coin. G is for Great Ocean Road – scenic coastline drive from Torquay to Allansford in Victoria.

Stretching 243 kilometres, the route hugs the coastline with visitors travelling through rainforests, past beaches and along cliffs.

The Great Ocean Road began construction in 1919 and was built by approximately 3,000 returned servicemen and is dedicated to soldiers who died in World War 1.

It was finished 13 years later in 1932.

With surfing considered one of Australia’s national past-times, it’s no wonder the Great Ocean Road is home to several popular surf spots.

Each coin is housed in a card and envelope with the corresponding letter.
