2021 50c Dreaming Down Under - Koala 1/2oz Silver Proof Coloured Coin

This adorable coin is the second in our 2021 Dreaming Down Under series and features Australia's most well-known marsupial, the Koala.

Illustrated by Australian artist Elise Martinson, this series is inspired by dreamy newborn basket photography, a trend adored by parents all over the world.

Struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the Dreaming Down Under - Koala 2021 1/2oz Silver Coloured Coins.

The coin's reverse features a cute baby koala asleep in a fleece-lined nest surrounded by colourful Australian native flowers and wildlife. The Perth Mint's 'P' Mintmark also appears on the reverse with the coin's weight and purity.

The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the coin's monetary denomination and the year-date appear on the reverse.

Each coin is housed in a classic display case with a clear lid. Packaged with an illustrated shipper, each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
