The Australian kangaroo is a large marsupial endemic to Australia. Identified by its muscular tail, strong back legs, large feet, short fur, and long, pointed ears, the animal has become a much-loved national icon.Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz 99.9% Pure Silver in bullion quality, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965with an unlimited mintage.

The reverse of the silver kangaroo coin features the classic artistry of a bounding red kangaroo surrounded by rays of sunlight.

Issued as Australian legal tender, the obverse of each coin bears the new Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the year-date.

Authentication Feature :The coin includes an authentication feature on the reverse. In the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the coin's AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO heading, it is only detectable under a magnifying glass. The authentication feature is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited providing peace of mind for all bullion customers.
