2016 AFL Premiers Western Bulldogs Medallion & Stamp Cover PNC

On 1 October 2016 the Western Bulldogs broke a 62-year premiership drought in a dazzling display before a roaring crowd of 99,981 at the MCG.

After rising from 7th on the ladder, the intrepid Bulldogs outclassed the Sydney Swans by 22 points in an historic win.

But it was always close. The Bulldogs knocked three of the first four goals, but there were five lead changes and 112 goals in the tightly contested second quarter.The last quarter was extraordinary. after Jason Johannisen's evident winning goal was overruled, George Hewett reduced the deficit to a point with 10mintues left to play.

This was followed by an unassailable 21-point lead with only two minutes left to play. With his brilliant 33-possession game off half-back, Jason Johannisen won the Norm Smith Medal for best on ground.
