2016 $2 50th Anniversary of Decimal Currency Uncirculated Coin

This is the first time ever that a circulating coin obverse has been changed.It is a first time that different wording has appeared on a circulating coin obverse. It is the first time a commemorative design has been applied to the 5 and 10 cent coins.

This is the first time all 6 coins will have a commemorative design all at the same time! Issued to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Decimal Currency, this coin features a smaller-than-usual portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with a stylised reproduction of the old Crown – just one of the coins replaced in the 1966 changeover. 

Announced in February 2016, this commemorative $2 coin will be issued for circulation, even better news, the in following months, several more coins containing the different pre-decimal coins will be released.

Whilst you may find them in change, here we have guaranteed uncirculated coins, taken from mint rolls and presented in a 2x2.
