In Chinese culture, people born in the Year of the Monkey – 1920, 1932, ,19344, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004 and 2016 are regarded as intelligent, quick-witted, optimistic, ambitious and adventurous.Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverser and obverse designs. This beautiful Stamp and Coin Cover will make a superb gift or collectable.The reverse of the coin features an adult monkey and a baby monkey sitting in a peach tree. The baby is holding a peach, which is symbolic of longevity and immortality.
