As the third release in this series, winter takes place in the months of June, July and August.

This season brings much-needed rain, cooler temperatures and renewed growth.The Green tree Frog is one of the most recognisable and iconic frogs of the continent. 

The species is docile and well suited to living in both urban and tropical environments. This amphibian is nocturnal, becoming active during the early evening.

During the day they prefer cool, dark and moist areas to sleep, such as tree holes or rock crevices.

Struck from 1oz pure 99.9% pure silver to proof quality, this coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.No more than 5,000 of these coins will be released by The Perth Mint
