2011 20c International Year of Volunteers 10th Anniversary Uncirculated Coin

Ten years have passed since The International Year of Volunteers in 2001, and though a General Assembly Resolution, the United Nations called for this anniversary to be marked across the planet.

The idea is to recognise and promote the values of volunteering, build and reinforce volunteering networks and assist individuals to tap their potential and make a real difference.

The coin features people standing together to collectively help out where help is needed, signifying the camaraderie of volunteers who come from a diverse range of lifestyles and occupations.

The International Year of the Volunteer "IYV" icon in the middle of the coin is the official log for the anniversary.

The coin is available individually or in a mint roll which is wrapped in the exclusive Royal Australian Mint paper featuring the "IYV" design.
